For Giuffrè Francis Lefebvre S.p.A. - a company belonging to the multinational group Editions Lefebvre Sarrut, one of the world leaders in the professional publishing market - we realized the new editorial system. The platform has achieved the following objectives (considered strategic by the Editor):
Enabling the use of the system without the need to install software on the client (i.e. web server architecture).
Improvement of the transfer system documents from / to external suppliers, previously based on FTP protocol.
Improved time to market through the passage from the “batch scheduled” logic to “near real time” logic.
Creating a process control to monitor all workflows and generate alarms in case of stop or delay.
Creation of security mechanisms that prevent the possibility of improper use of documents by the extensive network of system users (access control, tracking and reporting anomalies, control the number of downloads per unit time ...).
Cost and time reduction for application maintenance.
IDE: Visual Studio 2017, Visual Studio Code, TOAD Technologies: .Net Framework 4.5, C#, DB Oracle, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS3, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Angular Material In June 2020 we released an important feature for the management of objects - different from the "classic" documents of the editorial system - such as Checklist, Flowchart, Timeline, Models. These are new searchable and editable objects, always using the management system. For the implementation of this functionality we have updated the search system to ElasticSearch 7 and, consequently, we have used .Net Framework version 4.7.1 and developed an autonomous application in .Net Core.
